Inspiring Vegan Christmas Recipes
I love this time of year and always enjoy trying out some new vegan dishes for our Christmas day celebration. I still haven’t decided what I’ll do this year (yes, I know only 5 more sleeps – I have 2 smallies reminding me daily!) At least I have started my research and decisions will be made tonight…so if you want to go meat-free this Christmas check out the links below and get inspired! 100’s of recipes to choose from so something for everyone.
This round-up reaches back to the early days of Minimalist Baker, right up to the present, and includes recipes for breakfast, sides, appetizers, entrées, desserts, and drinks. Going to check out the crispy brussel sprouts (yes, one of the few people who really like them – all in how they are prepared!) Not all the recipes are very ‘Christmassy’ but I was salivating looking through the deserts so plenty of options there. Also check out the sparkling Pomegranate Margaritas!
If you want a simpler selection, then there are some good suggestions here – yet again the desserts caught my eye – egg nog, Christmas trifle and Christmas pudding ice-cream! The cranberry and pine nut stuffing looks like its worth checking out too.
A nice selection of 42 recipes here – I like that they give you the effort level and completion time (important this time of year as we are all so busy!). The mulled red cabbage and the vegan gingerbread people look nice so think I’ll try those.
(When you go to the link click on the vegan sub-option on the right hand side.) Lots of ideas for sides here – think I’ll have to add the roasted cauliflower head and baby artichoke bruschetta to my list! Looks like this year is turning out to be a range of sides and desserts – still looking for the main dish!
This page is divided by main courses and nut roasts, side dishes and light bites, puddings and deserts. Hhmm, think I might have found my main course here – the luxury festive roast. Sounds delicious “Probably the tastiest Christmas Roast you will ever eat! Teeming with juicy nuts, pulses, porcini mushrooms and other surprises.”
The Christmas Brandy truffles look like they are worth trying too!
